The inspiration for this song came from starting out in a relationship and wishing I could just jump to the end where we're comfortable with each other, skipping the awkward initial interactions of getting to know one another. It's also about imagining being able to look back from that point and wishing I could know what I to tell myself now to make everything feel better. A lot of times I worry needlessly, and things are never as bad as they seem in the moment. I try to look forward to the part where I know everything's going to be okay.
